A local guide with a simple promise
Honest information about buying property around Trogir — from people who know the area, without the sales pressure.
Our story
International buyers researching the Croatian coast face a strange landscape: enormous portals with thousands of interchangeable listings, agency websites that all promise the same things, and very little honest, local information in English about what it's actually like to buy and own here.
Trogir Property Guide was created to fill that gap for one small, remarkable corner of Dalmatia: Trogir, the island of Čiovo and the villages of Seget. Instead of trying to list everything, we keep it small and useful: area guides written with local knowledge, a plain-language buying guide that tells you what to expect — and, in future, a hand-picked selection of listings from licensed local agents. Nothing is published there yet; owners and agencies can submit a property for review.
What we do — and what we don't
What we do
- Publish local area guides and buying information for international buyers
- Prepare a curated property showcase with licensed Croatian agencies — nothing is published there yet
- Will forward buyer enquiries directly to the responsible agency once agency listings go live
- Are developing a directory of local services around property and ownership
What we don't do
- We are not a real estate agency or broker and don't sell property
- We don't negotiate prices or represent buyers or sellers
- We don't give legal or tax advice — we point you to professionals who do
- We don't publish listings without the licensed agent's approval
Grounded in local experience
This guide is written based on local experience and regular time spent in the area — walking the riva, watching building projects take shape, and seeing the coast both in season and out of it. That grounding is the whole point: the area guides describe places we know first-hand, not places researched from a desk.
This site is newer than the community behind it. We have been running the Trogir and Čiovo property group on Facebook for longer than this site has existed — several thousand members, many of them owners and buyers asking what a street is like in November, or whether a stone house is worth the renovation. Those are the questions this site tries to answer.
Questions, corrections or ideas for the guide are always welcome at info@trogirpropertyguide.com.
